Minecraft Beta 1.7.7, the Underworld Overhaul, was a partially-completed update to Better than Adventure!. It was cancelled in December 2021 after development issues. Some of its features were incorporated into later versions, such as Better than Adventure! 1.7.7.0.

- Generates in Glacier biomes.
- New stone type.
- When harvested drops Cobbled Permafrost.
- Can be smelted into Permafrost.
- Crafted from 4 Permafrost, decorative.
- Generates above y=50 in Outback biome.

- Generates similar to bedrock layer at y=128 in Nether.
- Harder to mine than obsidian, all tools are slow mining it.
- Generates as the main block in the Warrens below the Nether.

- Blue torch that turns off during the day and turns on during the night.
- Created when a Glowball hits the ground.

- Easter egg referencing the Better Than Wolves mod.
- Made by piston crushing a wolf.

- Worn on the boots slot, used to dash forward quickly.

- Throwable item that creates Glowslime when it lands.
- No current recipe.
- Crafted like arrows with iron instead of flint.
- Do more damage than normal arrows.
- Crafted like a bow with Steel instead of sticks.
- Has to be drawn back to be fired.
- Shoots faster and farther than normal bow.
- Used to name mobs to prevent them from despawning.
- Doesn't have a recipe.
- Can be written in to change the name.
