Creepers are a type of hostile [[mob]] which naturally spawn in ''Minecraft''.

== Behavior ==
Creepers will walk towards the player, then attempt to explode. A creeper explosion will destroy nearby terrain and drop all blocks broken by the blast. Creepers do not make any noise except for their footsteps and when they attempt to explode, allowing them to sneak up on players.

== Drops ==
Creepers drop [[sulfur]] upon dying. Creepers will not drop sulfur upon exploding.

If a creeper is killed by a [[skeleton]] [[arrow]], it will drop a random music disc upon dying.

== Spawning ==
Creepers naturally spawn at night and in darkness.
