Permafrost is a hard stone block that makes up most of the terrain in [[Biome|glacier biomes]] in the [[Overworld]]. Permafrost will generate beneath layers of [[Snow|snow]]. It will generate from anywhere between 14 and 22 blocks below the snow layer.

Permafrost can also generate as part of [[Labyrinth|labyrinths]] inside of [[Biome|glaciers]].
