Minecraft Beta 1.7.6 was a major update to Main Page released on November 8, 2021, which adds seasons, new biomes, extends the world height, and much more.

  • Allows the player to recycle junk materials like Dirt, Gravel, Sand and Soul Sand into more useful items such as Pebbles, Iron Nuggets, Gold Nuggets and more.

  • Legacy default. Worlds from Minecraft Beta 1.7.5 and below will be set to this type. Maintains the old Beta 1.7.3 terrain generation.
  • Ocean level is at Y=64, same as Beta 1.7.3.

Winter

  • A frozen-over wonderland of permanent winter. A modern continuation of Minecraft Alpha's winter worlds.

Flooded

  • Features a raised sea level, creating a vast ocean with island outposts to explore and conquer.

Flat

  • A world of nothing but flat grass to build on. Best enjoyed in creative mode.

Hell

  • An inhospitable wasteland of nothing but dirt, darkness, and lava oceans.

Woods

  • An endless forest of densely-packed trees.

Paradise

  • A bright, friendly land of endless day and endless spring.
