Nether coal is a fuel source that can only be found in the Nether, and is most commonly used as a stronger variant of coal.

Obtaining Edit

Mining Edit

Nether coal can be obtained by mining any Nether coal ore with any pickaxe.

Crafting Edit

A block of Nether coal can be crafted back down to its original components, that being 8 nether coal.

There is a rare chance you can obtain Nether coal with a trommel when inputting soul sand.

Nether coal can be used in a furnace to smelt 32 items. This means Nether coal lasts four times as long as regular coal. In a blast furnace, Nether coal can be used to blast 16 items.
