7.1 is an upcoming major update to Better than Adventure! originally set to release on December 15, 2023.[1][2] However, the update has been delayed and the release date is currently unknown, a prerelease will be released on December 15 instead.[3] Notable features from the update include a guidebook overhaul and new blocks.

Confirmed features

  • Guidebook
    • Revamped.
    • Now, along with recipes, it also includes information about trommeling and entities.
    • The player may press R on an item in their inventory to see recipes for that item or U to see recipes that use the item.[4]
    • It is now possible to search for recipes.[5]
  • Jars
    • Empty jars can now be placed down.[6]
    • Flowers, mushrooms, and saplings can now be placed in jars as decoration.[6]

Trivia

  • This is the first version to remove the leading "1.7." from the naming scheme. This is because it is redundant, as it will never change.
