What is Better Than Adventure?
Better Than Adventure, or "BTA" as it's more commonly known as, is a Minecraft mod for Beta 1.7.3 aimed at continuing the Beta Minecraft experience ten years after Beta ended. Focused mainly on expanding and improving existing mechanics as opposed to adding new ones haphazardly, it aims to provide a fuller experience than any other official version of Minecraft.
The most current version is 1.7.6_01.
Who is Better Than Adventure?
BTA's two lead developers are Skydeckagogo (better known as "Mak"), and Jonkadelic (or "Jonk", for short), but in keeping in line with the Beta Minecraft ExperienceTM, its development is very much community-driven, especially in terms of things such as bugtesting, texture work and tweaking new additions to make sure they feel right.
