This page attempts to document the full history of the textures of blocks, their additions, changes, and removals. Additions and changes made to the models of blocks and any new blocks that reuse prior textures will not be documented here. Texture files that are completely identical to other texture files will also be largely ignored for the time being.

Beta 1.7.3 (Vanilla)
Beta 1.7.4_01		Added the textures for Block of Steel, Blast Furnace, Dirt Path, Lapis Lazuli Bricks, Gold Bricks, Polished Stone Bricks, Sandstone Bricks, Wet Sponge, Nether Coal Ore, Basalt, Cobbled Basalt, Basalt Bricks, Limestone, Cobbled Limestone, Limestone Bricks, Granite, Cobbled Granite, Granite Bricks, Mesh Blocks, Spike Traps, and an unused mossy stone brick texture. Changed the texture of Gravel and updated ore textures to use overlays.
Beta 1.7.4_02		Updated and implemented the texture of the unused Mossy Polished Stone Brick.
Beta 1.7.5	1.7.5 Prerelease 1	Added a side texture to Dirt Path, and Motion Sensor textures. Added unused textures for Igneous Netherrack, Soulslate, Weeping Netherrack, Block of Mithril and Marble. Updated the textures of mossy cobblestone, Basalt, Limestone, and Granite.
	1.7.5 Prerelease 2	Changed the textures of Basalt and the coal and iron ore overlays.
Beta 1.7.6	1.7.6 Snapshot 21w34a	Added textures for all ore variants, Marble Bricks and Marble Pillars, metal blocks sides and bottoms, Pumpkin bottom, cherry wood products, Dirt, Dirt and an unused scorched dirt path, Trommels, Lamps, Tinted Glass, Retro Grass, Retro Leaves and overlay textures for glowing redstone ore, Nether Coal Ore, Igneous Netherrack, Motion Sensors, and powered rails. Changed the texture of Marble and Moss which now has new variants. Removed ore overlay and dyed wool textures.
	1.7.6 Snapshot 21w36a	Added textures for Painted Wooden Planks, Painted Chests, Blocks of Redstone, Blocks of Coal, Blocks of Nether Coal, Marble Capstones, Eucalyptus Logs, Eucalytpus Saplings, Eucalyptus Leaves, Shrub Saplings, Shrub Leaves, Spinifex and a overlay texture for blocks of nether coal. Changed the texture of Tinted Glass
	1.7.6 Snapshot 21w36b	Added textures for Slate and a overlay texture for Lamps. Changed the textures of Tinted Glass, Lamps, Eucalyptus Leaves, and Shrub Saplings.
	1.7.6 Prerelease 1	Added textures for Algae, Mossy Oak Logs, top textures for logs, overlay for cherries, and an unused Mud texture. Changed the textures of Dirt and Dirt.
	1.7.6 Prerelease 2	Added a texture for Retro Cobblestone and Vines.
	1.7.6 Prerelease 3	Added unused textures for stone bricks and a mossy variant. Changed the textures of Painted Wooden Planks Mossy Oak Logs, Blocks of Redstone, Blocks of Lapis Lazuli, Lapis Lazuli Bricks, front of the pumpkin and the Blast Furnace.
	Beta 1.7.6	Added unused Rotten Wooden Planks, and unused cocoa bean overlay. Changed the textures of Lapis Lazuli Bricks, top of Slate, cobblestone, Cobbled Limestone, Cobbled Granite, the sides of Marble Pillars and Marble Capstones, Mossy Oak Logs, Painted Chests, cherry overlays, and the front face of Pumpkins. Removed unused stone brick and mossy stone brick, unused extra Spinifex and unused Mud texture.
Beta 1.7.6_01		Added textures for Block of Quartz and Block of Olivine. File:Motion Sensor Front.png Changed the textures of the sides of Motion Detectors, Cobbled Basalt, Cobbled Granite, Cobbled Limestone and the top texture of Slate.
Beta 1.7.6.1		Added textures for Iron Trapdoors , the bottom of the Blast Furnace, and an unused Charcoal Block texture. Changed the textures for the Blast Furnace, Mossy Oak Logss, Block of Nether Coal. Removed textures for the Lamp overlay, Block of Nether Coal overlay, Rotten Wooden Planks, Vines and Retro Leaves.
Beta 1.7.6.2	Beta 1.7.6.2 Prerelease 1	Added textures for Polished Stone, Polished Granite, Polished Limestone, Polished Basalt, Polished Slate, Slate Bricks, Stone Bricks and re-added Retro Leaves. Changed the textures of sand, bookshelves, Basalt, Cobbled Basalt, Basalt Bricks, Limestone, Cobbled Limestone, Limestone Bricks, Granite, Cobbled Granite, Granite Bricks, Block of Olivine, top textures for logs, Cherry Saplings, limestone, basalt and granite ores,. Removed unused scorched dirt path texture.
