Biomes are the different environments that can be found in the worlds of Minecraft. Better than Adventure! includes some biomes from the base game, but most biomes and their mechanics have been revamped or added.

Default Biomes

Plains

Not much can be said about it. It's a plain biome. Trees are rare, often generates big grassy hills with a lot of relatively flat surfaces. Fully affected by the seasons.

Forest

Seasonal Forest

Birch Forest

Special World Types

Classic

Terrain generation similar to Classic, but infinite. This world type has "No Season" and only one biome.

Namespaced ID: minecraft:overworld.retro

Retro

Terrain generation as close as possible to Minecraft Alpha 1.1.2_01. This world type has "No Season" and only one biome, the world generation was ported from Minecraft Alpha, complete with neon green Retro Grass and Retro Leaves.

Hell

This world ended long ago - survive it. An inhospitable wasteland of nothing but dirt, darkness, and lava oceans.
