Beta 1.7.7, the Underworld Overhaul, was a planned update to Better than Adventure, which was cancelled after development issues. Some of its features were incorporated into later versions.

- Harder to mine than obsidian, all tools are slow mining it.

- Used to name mobs to prevent them from despawning.
