Beta 1.7.6 is a major update to Main Page released on November 8, 2021, which adds seasons, new biomes, extends the world height, and much more.
Additions
Seasons
- Cherry trees are pink and grow edible cherries.
- Flowers and tall grass grow across the world.
- Crops grow twice as fast.
- More animals, fewer hostile mobs.
- Longer days, shorter nights.
- More-or-less the same as vanilla Minecraft.
- Trees turn an autumnal red.
- Leaf piles accumulate under trees.
- Trees turn brown and do not spawn saplings (excluding pine trees).
- Crops grow half as fast.
- Shorter days, longer nights.
- More hostile mobs, fewer animals.
- Exposed flowers and tall grass die over time.
Gamemodes
- Default Minecraft gamemode. Resources must be acquired by digging, tools have durability, and the player can die.
- Resources are unlimited and can be acquired from the player's inventory, blocks break instantly, the player cannot die, and can fly and noclip through blocks.
Biomes
- A red wasteland with rich, mineral-filled dirt, spinifex and eucalyptus trees.
- Flowery, rolling hills that spawn in cold climates. Great for building!
- A coniferous woodland with a variety of plants and flowers.
World Types
Extended Default
- Large biomes and large mountains. BTA's default world option.
- Ocean level is at Y=128, so the world is twice as tall and twice as deep as beta 1.7.3.
Default
- Legacy default. Worlds from 1.7.5 and below will be set to this type. Maintains the old beta 1.7.3 terrain generation.
- Ocean level is at Y=64, same as beta 1.7.3.
Winter
- A frozen-over wonderland of permanent winter. A modern continuation of Minecraft Alpha's winter worlds.
Flooded
- Features an increased sea level, creating a vast ocean with island outposts to explore and conquer.
Flat
- A world of nothing but flat grass to build on. Best enjoyed in creative mode.
Hell
- An inhospitable wasteland of nothing but dirt, darkness, and lava oceans.
Woods
- An endless forest of densely-packed trees.
Paradise
- A bright, friendly land of endless day and endless spring.
Retro
- World generation ported from Minecraft Alpha 1.1.2_01, complete with neon green grass and trees.

- World height is now doubled to 256 blocks.
