Creepers are a type of hostile mob which naturally spawn in Minecraft.

Behavior

Creepers will walk towards the player, then attempt to explode. A creeper explosion will destroy nearby terrain and drop all blocks broken by the blast. Creepers do not make any noise except for their footsteps and when they attempt to explode, allowing them to sneak up on players.

Drops

Creepers drop sulfur upon dying. Creepers will not drop sulfur upon exploding.

If a creeper is killed by a skeleton arrow, it will drop a random music disc upon dying.

Spawning

Creepers naturally spawn at night and in darkness.
