View distance: According to the official Minecraft wiki, server side "view-distance" determines the max amount of chunks sent to the player. (Radius in every direction). For example, if a player has - on their client - set the view-distance to 12, but the server has it set to 8. They will only see 8 chunks. See https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Server.properties
