Zombies are a common undead hostile mob. There is a variant of the zombie called the armored zombie which wears chainmail armor.

Behavior[edit | edit source]

Zombies walk towards the nearest player and cause damage when making contact. When it's daytime, zombies will find the nearest shade. Otherwise, they'll begin burning and eventually die.

Drops[edit | edit source]

Zombies do not drop rotten flesh nor feathers in Main Page. Standard zombies drop cloth upon dying, while armored zombies drop chainlinks when attacked.

Spawning[edit | edit source]

Zombies randomly spawn at night or in darkness.

Zombies can spawn as a result of the player having a nightmare by sleeping in a bed which isn't enclosed and lit up.

Monster spawners can generate as zombie spawners, which will periodically spawn zombies.
