The label is an item that can be used to rename entities, such as pigs, wolves, or spiders.

Usage
The label can be filled by pressing right click. You can right click on any entity with a label in your hand to rename it. Named entities do not despawn.
Names above entities are visible at all times, unless you are too far away.
