Baked Mud[edit | edit source]
- New decorative block obtained from smelting Mud.
- Not affected by gravity.
Basket[edit | edit source]
- New container block.
- Collects items that fall onto it.
Chainlink Fence[edit | edit source]
- New fence-like block crafted from Chainlinks.
- Can be climbed along by players.
Cobbled Permafrost[edit | edit source]
- New Cobblestone variant acquired from mining Permafrost.
Deactivated Mob Spawner[edit | edit source]
- Obtained by mining spawners with silk touch.
- Totally inert - does not spawn any monsters nor have fire particles.
Firefly Lanterns[edit | edit source]
- New decorative light source blocks.
- Comes in 4 colors; Red, Orange, Green and Blue.
Flag[edit | edit source]
- New customizable decorative block.
- New transparent trapdoor variant made of Glass.
- Currently has no Tinted Glass variant.
Mud[edit | edit source]
- New gravity-affected block, similar to Sand and Gravel.
- Found in the Swampland biome.
- Takes longer to fall than the aforementioned blocks.
Permafrost[edit | edit source]
- New stone/ice variant found in the Glacier biome.
- Cannot melt.
- When harvested, it drops Cobbled Permafrost.
Permafrost Bricks[edit | edit source]
- New brick variant crafted from Permafrost.
Perma-Ice[edit | edit source]
- New Ice variant found in the Glacier biome.
- Cannot melt.
- Entities can slide along the block, similarly to regular Ice.
Scorched Grass[edit | edit source]
- New grass variant found in the Outback biome.

Ice Skates[edit | edit source]
- New uncraftable boots.
- Found inside structures in the Glacier biome.
Jar[edit | edit source]
- Used to capture Fireflies.
Music Disc - Dog[edit | edit source]
- Found in dungeons and dropped from creepers.
- Plays Dog by C418, previously only accessible in Xbox 360 Edition.
Raw Ores[edit | edit source]
- Iron and Gold Ores now drop raw items that can be smelted into Ingots.
- Has higher durability than regular Fire Strikers.
Steel Shears[edit | edit source]
- Have a higher durability than regular Shears.

Firefly[edit | edit source]
- New ambient mob.
Scorpion[edit | edit source]
- New hostile mob.
- Drops String when killed.
Snowman[edit | edit source]
- New hostile mob.
- Spawns in the Glacier biome.
- Throws snowballs at the player before killing them.

- New forest variant filled with tall Birch trees.

Debug
- A void world containing the block states of every block in the game.
Empty[edit | edit source]
- An empty void world containing a single block of bedrock that the player spawns on.
Floating Islands[edit | edit source]
- Generates numerous floating islands above the void, somewhat similar to the Indev map type.
Other Additions[edit | edit source]
- The game now features a dynamic [Weather|wind]] system that affects cloud direction, falling leaves, and flags.
- Paintings are now more user-friendly, with the ability to select which painting is placed when the player right-clicks them. Various new paintings have also been added.
- Aurora borealis.
- The options menu has been completely redesigned, making it much easier for the player to find what they're looking for.
- The game now has various new volume sliders.
- Swamps now feature pools of stagnant water.
- Algae now changes color depending on the season.
- Sign backgrounds.
- Signs can now be dyed.
- Tooltip styles.
- Improved silk touch mechanics.
- Translation support.
- Mob variants.
- Modern and slim skins.
- Wolves will seek out items on the ground and bring them back to you.
- Color correction.
- Pebbles can now be placed on the ground.

- Inventory improvements - players can now click and drag items around like in modern Minecraft.
