Permafrost is a variant of stone found in glacier biomes, primarily underground.

Obtaining

Natural generation

Permafrost is a hard stone block that makes up most of the terrain in glacier biomes in the Overworld. Permafrost will generate beneath layers of snow. It will generate from anywhere between 14 and 22 blocks below the snow layer.

Permafrost can also generate as part of labyrinths inside of glaciers.

Smelting

As with every cobblestone variant excluding mossy cobblestone, cobbled permafrost can be smelted in a furnace for permafrost.

Usage

Permafrost is a decorative block that can be used to craft other blocks.
