Granite is a naturally-generating block that takes the place of stone in parts of the world.
Obtaining
Natural generation
Granite is one of the most frequently generated blocks in the Overworld, usually found beneath layers of dirt and above a layer of stone underground. Granite can also be found uncovered in caves, mountains, oceans, etc.
Smelting
As with every cobblestone variant excluding mossy cobblestone, cobbled granite can be smelted in a furnace for granite.
