1.7.5 Pre-1 is the first development version of Minecraft Beta 1.7.5, released on August 6, 2021.

- Notch's old slabs have undergone a complete rewrite, now supporting more blocks, improving behavior, and adding the ability to be placed upside down.
- Brick slabs!
- Slabs can now be placed on slabs without the block above being empty.
- Piston crushing! Putting a block between a piston and a block of obsidian will break it, dropping the block.
- Dirt paths now have a side texture! at long last!
- Nerfed moss spreading.
- Bookshelves now drop themselves.
