1.7.5 Pre-1 is the first development version of Minecraft Beta 1.7.5, released on August 6, 2021.

Blocks[edit | edit source]
- Notch's old slabs have undergone a complete rewrite, now supporting more blocks, improving behavior, and adding the ability to be placed upside down.
- Brick slabs!
- Slabs can now be placed on slabs without the block above being empty.
- Piston crushing! Putting a block between a piston and a block of obsidian will break it, dropping the block.
- Dirt paths now have a side texture! at long last!
- Nerfed moss spreading.
- Bookshelves now drop themselves.

- What happens when you fire a pellet packed with gunpowder out of a high-powered slingshot? At long last, we have an answer.

- Channel your inner Robin Hood with these new projectiles that can fire right through enemies.

- Replacing feathers as the traditional zombie drop, cloth is now a vital component in crafting beds.
- Deep in the heart of labyrinths, the boldest players will be able to find chainmail gear, which has the unique property of being repairable.
- Wearing leather boots will stop crops being trampled underfoot.
- Can now be stacked to 64!

- These fearsome opponents, clad in rusted chainmail, will prove a challenging fight for even the most prepared players.

- Added.
- These sprawling dungeons feature greater challenge in exchange for unbelievable treasures.
- Slimy caves! Below a certain level, slime chunks will be literally dripping with ooze to help identify them more easily.
- Re-worked monster spawning! Hostile spawning light level is now tied to difficulty, with them spawning much more frequently at night on hard and normal. They also spawn at a lower light level in general (max 4 instead of 8).
Miscellaneous Changes[edit | edit source]
- New achievements! Finally, be rewarded for your exploits.
- Bigger portals! Nether portals can now be as big (or as small) as you like.
- Skins! Flex your cool unique skin you paid some stranger $5 to make.
- Shift click! It's now possible to transfer fuel and items into furnaces by shift-clicking, as well as equipping armor via the same method.
- HD textures! You can now use 32x32 textures and beyond, so you can finally port that texture pack you like without the bricks being on fire.
- New logo! Show off the fact you're playing Better than Adventure.
- New splashes! The game now features over 100 community-written splashes on the main menu.
Bug Fixes[edit | edit source]
- Ore overlays and dirt paths now render properly in old lighting.
- Bit depth fix.
